NCIHA is a Tribally Designated Housing Entity (TDHE), established in 1979, that works on behalf of 7 Federally Recognized Tribes in Northern California to carry out housing related programs.
For renters who were financially affected by COVID-19 – you can apply through Northern Circle for ERAP. This program can help with up to 12 months of rental payments, past and future due, and also with past due utility payments.
For homeowners who were financially affected by COVID-19 – you can apply through Northern Circle for HAF. This program can help homeowners with up to 3 months of past due mortgage payments and also with past due utility payments.
NCIHA is excited to offer renters the opportunity to utilize our rewarding resident amenity Rent Plus. Rent Plus is a completely optional service that reports all on-time rental payments to credit bureau agencies so you are able to establish, maintain and build your credit score just by paying your rent on time!
In addition to building credit, Rent Plus offers: Budgeting and savings tools with text alerts and credit tips, a customized assessment-based financial education program and real-time monitoring with a $1 million fraud protection policy.
You may opt out of Rent Plus at any time, missed payments don’t weigh against you.
Northern Circle has gone digital! You can now access all our applications online and fill out an application using our digital web application. When submitting a digital application we are able to receive and begin processing your information the same day and cut down the amount of time needed. This means you can get a response sooner on the status of your application. For those who don’t have a great internet connection or prefer to hand fill out an application we have a downloadable and printable version found on the page of the application you wish to apply for. Check out our applications page to see all the available programs.
